Tone Generator TG5xs
The JSD TestPhone TG5xs Tone Generator is designed to trace individual conductors through copper cable networks. It provides a high output voltage sinusoidal audible tone, working seamlessly with the AM5xs Tone Amplifier for precise wire identification.
The TG5xs offers four constant ‘qTrace’ tones and two standard audio tones (900Hz, 1kHz) with four interrupt rates for clear signal identification. The high voltage balanced sinusoidal signal is transformer coupled, allowing for loop-through resistance measurements and TDR/insulation resistance testing via capacitive coupling output.
Visual indications of line shorts and audible confirmation of the selected tone ensure accurate and efficient wire location. The Touch Button Technology allows easy tone selection, while the quick-change battery system keeps downtime to a minimum.
Built to last, the TG5xs is fully sealed to IP67, offering high impact resistance for use in tough environments. It also comes with a two-year warranty, ensuring reliability and peace of mind.
