Description

Description:

By slightly pinching the fibre, a small part of the signal is diverted to 2 photodetectors and then measured in order to reveal the direction of traffic flow and the relative optical power level. This operation can be performed on fibres in service.

Thanks to its adapters for sheaths with a diameter of 250 µm, 900 µm, 2 mm and 3 mm, the TED traffic detection clamp is suitable for all applications and meets all needs:

  • identify an active fibre
  • isolate a problematic fibre
  • evaluate the relative strength level of the signal
  • detect the direction of traffic
  • detect a modulated signal at 270Hz, 1kHz and 2kHz

With a robust design and meeting the requirements of the field, the TED traffic detection clamp is delivered with its 4 adapters stored in a compartment, a light cover, a user guide in French, 2 AAA alkaline batteries and a carrying case.

  • Wavelength range: 800 to 1700nm
  • Power range: -50 to +10dBm
