TED® Cable Stripping Tool - Ø 2.9 - 6.8mm
During fibre network deployments, engineers must perform optical soldering to serve the subscriber. This TED Cable Stripping Tool® is designed to allow easy access to fibre optics from patch cables at building connection points by performing a longitudinal cut. It has 5 different grooves for use on cables from 2.9 to 6.8mm in diameter. Cutting is done simply by positioning the cable in the appropriate range of the tool and pulling the tool. This allows for an opening without damaging the fibre inside.
Small in size, the cable opening tool is ergonomic, easy to handle and takes up little space in a telecom technician's toolbox. For this purpose, it is very interesting to have this accessory because it offers more careful cuts than classic tools such as Kevlar scissors or electrician's knives.
Cutting Range:
- 2.9 to 3.6mm
- 3.6 to 4.4mm
- 4.4 to 5.2mm
- 5.2 to 6.0mm
- 6.0 - 6.8mm
The blades of this cable stripper are not visible, which ensures the safety of its user while making a quick cut.
