All grips consist of wire mesh tubes with either one or two pulling eyes at one end. The Double Eye Open is slid along the length of the cable and repositioned accordingly. The Single Eye Split is wrapped around the cable and closed using the steel rod supplied with the grip. When using these grips the tension applied to the eyes causes the mesh tubes to reduce in diameter and so grip the cable tightly, allowing drawing in operations to be carried out.
